Lost In The City

I really need to keep up on this to keep record! So, since I posted last, it has been a few weeks! I absolutely ADORE my job. It’s been a blast working with everyone there, I love working with clients, it’s neat to meet all these people and talk to them, where they came from, what they do. My job also works out really well because I’ve really gotten to know the city, the different neighborhood.. what more can I say I love my job. I met this girl Judy, she was in my training/hiring class.. she is super fun, we really hit it off. We went to my first comedy club, Comedysportz, it was pretty good I have to say, but she says there are better. She’s been letting me stay with her during the week so I don’t have to commute all the way to Lake Forest. She cooks me food too :P

I met two clients Will, and Jeff.. they are a married couple from New York, best clients I’ve had, helped them find a 2 bedroom 2 bath.. Jeff took me to dinner once I found them their place! :) I might be their roommate too.. which would be awesome because the location is right by my work!

We got our first snow of the season, my first snow in the city! It was about 8 inches, I was surprised how well Chicago takes care of the streets in the snow. They really are on top of it. 

Thats about it for now. I need to get better at pictures too… sorry about it.

There, I said it. Bottoming is fucking great. Yes, it hurts every time. Yes it is sometimes messy (Santorum is just not a candidate in Iowa). But it is always fucking worth it. There are lots of guys who only like to bottom. There are lots of couples that are both bottoms and they take turns begrudingly topping. There are also lots of tops who only like to top. Topping is fun too. But if topping is like a merry-go-round, then bottoming is like the best fucking roller coaster you’ve ever been on in your life. The weird thing is “power bottom” isn’t just some stupid straight boy insult, the gays use it too. There’s some sort of shame about being a bottom, like it makes us less manly and that straight people won’t take us seriously. That is probably true, but those feelings are wrapped in all this heteronormative, patriarchal bullshit that straight society has thrust upon us, and we hate you for making us feel bad about something that is better than chasing a million dragons. And, yes, straight guys, let your lady stick a finger up there sometime, and you’ll know what I’m talking about. I promise not to make you feel like less of a man for it.

I have to say, I’m very pleased with how my first day of work in the big city went! I was worried if the job was just going to be some lame mass hiring gimmick or what was going to come of it. But, after today I am much more comfortable, and think that this may be something I will enjoy long term. The whole team was very inviting, and everyone there just wants to help you succeed. I spoke with some of the current leasing agents and found that even starting out, new leasing agents were making more than I have ever made in the past. I look forward to the job because not only does it give me the opportunity to meet tons of people, but I also get to expand my knowledge of the city!

It was somewhat of an awakening thing when I was on the way to work today, I parked a little more northern, just because there was a place I already knew I would be safe to leave my car, and as I was riding the red-line south it hit me, I am actually headed to my job, in the city of Chicago! I cannot even express my excitement, and I look forward to finding a place to call home.

Oh! And I guess if you are looking for a place to live.. get at me!
